Apparently Patches, a blog with which I was not familiar until I went to Meno's site earlier today called for pictures of hands.
Someone I know did this a while back, too, although she is not a blogger. She is a photographer who is always looking for a new focus for her pictures.
I was intrigued. Would I be willing to put pictures of my old hands out on the Internet? For some reason, it felt even more revealing than putting a facial picture on this site.Weird.
Hands can tell such a history. Where we've been. Where we are. What do those hands like to do? Garden?
Construction? A construction worker's hands do amazing things, even with all those calluses.
Hands. They hold things. Mine usually has a Diet Coke in it from 9.00 AM forward.
They also hold my pen when I am writing.
Wonderous little instruments we're born with...
We never really think about them. At least I don't. They're just there.
Another tool of the trade.

Jen, thanks. :) I have a weakness for the silver and gold bracelets and probably wear far too many. They are on both wrists and you'd probably laugh yourself half silly if you saw me on days like today in baggy shorts, a big t-shirt, bare feet and three pounds of jewelry. :) Geez, the neighbors probably talk about me behind my back. LOL When I do it right though with the clothing to match, it looks pretty good! I guess I'll keep doing it until my wrists break. LOL
