As for weight loss, aside from the rather desperate long walks of a week ago, I have had trouble motivating myself to get off my behind. I've been eating horrible things that will probably send me to hell ~ so I don't have anything positive to report.
The good news is that I will get over this phase and get back to doing something.

Just wondering what it says about me that I can (still) sing along to all of the lyrics of "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mothers"? And at 6 a.m., at that?

Commercials can be really annoying but sometimes a clever one comes along that just has me laughing out loud.
Here's one:
Are there any commercials that make you laugh?

Commercials are usually tedious but, occasionally, one or two come along that get us laughing. I won't try to describe them, you know how that usually works.
As for the "You Tube" commercial you have shared, I laughed out loud, it's very funny. But who the hell has legs like that?
Hilarious! My son and I laugh at commercials all the time, but now, when I'm supposed to name one, I can't. I guess commercials don't really have that much of an effect on us, at least once we advance beyond our teenage years when we just have to have everything we see.
The girl in the commercial has my belly and it happens that fast for me as well. I eat something with sugar or flour and boom, belly. Of course that doesn't stop me, I just wear looser clothers now.
Thanks for the laugh.
I would have given anything to hear you singing this morning at 6am.
I happened to see a Kaiser commercial recently set to a Bob Dylan song about a bunch of older guys trying to get in shape...times they are a changing..
it did make me smile.
We don't have a TV, so I can't comment, but it's nice to see that even you, oh great Chani, can blog some fluff now and then! :)
The part about weight loss which I hate is the minute I try to restrict myself, is the minute I want the very thing I've restricted. It's much easier for me to lose weight by not trying. Or, falling in love.
I don't see many commercials, but this one made me laugh for sure.
There used to be some great European condom commercials on You Tube too.
In our area we have an internet service called "Connect NC" and their commercial starts with a somber voice asking..."If you are experiencing connectile dysfunction be sure.....etc."
Yay for fluff! I needed the giggle
I added a few links to the music I posted about so that you don't have to search YouTube on your own. They're not all perfect, but it's a start.
I saw Jerry Jeff Walker preform that song live once. He was the opening act for Arlo Guthrie.
Pam, they are tedious for the most part. Occasionally one comes along that shows some humor and creativity. The funny ones are cute and clever.

Atavist, the commercials don't entice me in the least. I look at them as an art form in some senses. How well they conceptualize something, the quality and so on.

Deb, the look on her face inside the elevator is what truly cracked me up!

Jen, I've seen that commercial. Most of the Kaiser commercials are surprisingly unoffensive. :)
You wouldn't want to hear me sing. Trust me. You wouldn't! Ugh!

Sage, "oh great Chani"? Whose blog is that? I'd be curious to read it. LOL

Bellezza, food is my weakness. I admit it. I like to eat when I'm upset, when I'm happy, when I'm neutral. That is why my ass has gotten illegally fat over the past few years. It's just too hard to resist. It's not like quitting drinking. We don't have to drink. We have to eat.

Meno, I sometimes put "funny commercials" into the YouTube template so that I can see foreign ones. The foreign ones are usually pretty good. I'll have to look for the condom commercials. :)

Ginnie, LOL... That's funny! There is one national commercial for Vehix that shows a dog with sunglasses riding in a convertible with his owner. For some reason, it just cracks me up!

Flutter, I'm honestly thinking about doing fluff once a week. It's a break for me ~ and I'm glad to know others enjoy it, too.

Sage, thank you! That's great! I'll come back to your site and click the links.

Thomas, it's just a plain funny song! I haven't heard about Arlo Guthrie in ages!

Peace, all

I almost didn't watch the clip because I just can't stomach TV, but I'm glad I watched it. Thanks for the laugh.
