Just some natural beauty.....

~*

I don't have anything burning to talk about today. In fact, the entire day has been devoted to reconnecting with my true home which I miss with a thirst that is indescribable.

Here's some pretty pictures to look at. I'll be back tomorrow. :)

Dear Chani,

I need to catch up on your blog (soon)!

I can tell you are getting quite enthused about your new land and I see why. The photos you share are awesome!

Love the two little boys...

Take it easy. I'll be back.

I love the photos. The water and the two boys are my favorites. Thanks for posting them, Chani. I hope your day was an excellent one.

Hugs,
Laurie

Christine, glad you like it! That's my Thailand! :)

SM, that's one of the southern beaches. Isn't it beautiful? As I recall, the water was warm, too.

Mary, the two little boys.. it's one of my favorites.

I'm such a different person when I'm there. Oh, I'll give the evil eye though when someone throws trash on the street. You'd think Thailand belonged to me. LOL

~*

Laurie, thanks. :) It was good. I just surrounded myself with... Thai..land. I should be ashamed of how much I love that place! (grin)

Peace,

that one pic looks like Maya Beach off the coast of Phi Phi. I think i may have swam in that water. or something very close to it. thank you for reminding me yet again of how much SE Asia has to offer.

I could stare at that blue water forever. It was like taking a deep breath just looking at it.

Nice pictures but where's all the pictures of the child rape that goes on in Thailand on a daily basis..tens of thousands of girls being raped and kept in cages..we are those pictures?

thailandchani said...

Flutter, that is what the pictures do for me, too. Sometimes I am content to just look at them. :)

~*

CM, thanks. :) Every now and then, I'll put some more out.

~*

Meno, me, too! They make me feel happy. :)

~*

Julie, those little kids just make me smile!

~*

Jen.. ding ding ding! You're right. That is exactly where it is. :)

~*

May, you should see the waterfalls!

The photos are breathtaking. It's easy to see why you love Thailand.

Note to Elizabeth, if I may,

I don't know who you are or where you live, but every country in the world has its share of crimes against women and children which are deplorable and ghastly wherever they occur.

But it would be wrong to write off entire civilizations because they are imperfect.

You are right to be angry that such crimes exist, but in your zealousness, it sounds as if you might be directing that righteous anger toward Chani, who is a peaceful and most gentle person. I'm sure that is not what you meant to do, as we all share your feelings about these dreadful crimes and want them to stop.

Elizabeth, just as the last time, I thank you for your opinion.

However, addressing both your comment here and the one in a previous post, I will say that you are statistically incorrect. The US has a much higher pedophile population and generates the majority of the visitors to SEA, looking for the "services" you mention.

The US is also a money-laundering hub for drug smugglers, international criminals and human traffickers throughout the world.

My point being that the discussion itself is zero sum.

Hate is easy. The bigger picture is far more difficult because the fingers of blame can go in many, many directions. No one's hands are clean.

Peace,

Elizabeth - you seem to be very focused on pedophiles. I don't know what this says about you nor do I want to know what this says about you, but I think the fact you have not shared a link to YOUR blog with us says pretty much everything we all need to know.

So, as The Terminator would say.. Opinion Noted.

Now may I politely request you to remember - if you can't say anything nice, keep your trap zipped shut. Nobody appreciates you being nasty all over Chani's comments section. It is inappropriate behavior. If you want to say something nasty, have the GUTS to say it with your own name and a link back to your own blog, mmkay?

Oh, and you might be interested to know there are websites out there who bait the pedophiles and get them arrested. Even Miss America got in on the act. Why don't you use your time in a useful manner like that, getting pedophiles arrested and off the streets instead of writing nasty spiteful comments here?? http://www.warriorsforinnocence.org/

The beaches in Thailand are so beautiful.. ;)

I loves me some beautiful photos. And to all the lovely bloggers who are replying to a certain Elizabeth and sticking up for Chani... thank you for saying everything I would have liked to say (in a much more peaceful way than I would have communicated :)

I wonder if those boys know they're in paradise, or if they just take it for granted?

I so miss the beach.

The color of the water in that photo was unbelievable. Heavenly.

I love the pics. Especially the pics with the water.

I want to go too!

Snos, Elizabeth is responding to my post about Terapon Adhahn.

I think you offer a very good suggestion though. Better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.

I admire the work of Perverted Justice and Warriors for Innocence. There are plenty of pedophiles in jail because of them both.

~*

BG, thank you. :) The pictures sustain me. There's no other way to describe it. There are days when I go through my photos and it keeps me in perspective. I can't be "home" right now... but I can still experience it.

~*

QT, glad you liked them. They're so beautiful. That place.. is so beautiful.

~*

Pam.. :) That's how I feel when I look at yours!

~*

Thomas, I'm sure they take it for granted. The amazing thing is that some of the happiest, most well-adjusted children I ever met were in Thailand.

~*

Carla, they were sweet-natured... and very happy!

~*

Mitzh, Thailand is the most beautiful place on the planet.. but I'm biased. :) When I was there, I remembered thinking heaven must look like Thailand.. but without the humidity.

~*

Ewe, I miss the beach a lot. Not just Thai beaches.. but any beach!

~*

Rhea, yes.. beautiful! :)

~*

Tabba, I hope you are able to visit Thailand one day. If I'm there, you know you have a free place to stay. :)

Peace,

Chani - I also admire their work. It isn't an easy thing to do. I've done a lot of baiting Nigerian 419 scammers, and have had three of them arrested, back in the days when we had contacts within the South African police. But that kind of baiting is easy stuff compared to baiting pedophiles.

Even so, when you have a sting about to go down, the South African police officer has just called to let you know he's arrived in the hotel room and he's waiting for the scammers and he hangs up, the minutes tick sooooo slowly, and your palms sweat and your heart races. Until you get the call where the police officer is putting them into the car in handcuffs. ;)

I really wish we could get more of those guys arrested. Unfortunately the South African police are doing stings on their own these days and won't even take tips or scammer names and email addresses. And the police in most other countries won't touch these guys at all. Not even in the US. :(

This scam is becoming more prevalent in Asia, too. Indonesia is a new scammer hub, as is Malaysia and yes, even occasionally Thailand gets a mention.

So the best we baiters can do these days is waste their time and money without wasting too much of ours. Thankfully we have a computer script that does a lot of the scambaiting for us, all I have to do is connect the lads to the machine. They would never know they have been talking to a computer instead of a human, we've worked very hard to make sure of that.. ;)

Wow, beautiful just doesn't describe these places ...

What I mean is - those place are more than that - yes, paradise would do, even if nobody really knows how paradise looks like but if we could choose how it should look like than pls make it look like those places ... :)
