Fallow time....

I seem to be going through a fallow time. I don't have much to say that is of interest to anyone else.

If there's anything I've learned, it is that sometimes Spirit has to clear things out, remove the distractions, so that it can get in. We have to allow the fallowness, sit quietly and listen. My natural impulse is to try even harder, even though I know there is no "trying". I would frantically scour all the newspapers, the television shows, the magazines, the books and talk radio, trying to come up with a topic that would be of interest to all of you. But the truth is that either it flows or it doesn't. Right now, it's not flowing.

So I am going to honor this time, this fallow time, to open my mind and my heart.. and to listen. Something is trying to get my attention.

I'm waiting and ready! I'm listening.

I'll be back when I get back. Meanwhile, click here to see and hear a few thoughts I'd like to share with you. :)

The question I guess, is what do you have to say that's interesting to you? We'll follow.

Enjoy your quiet time. We all need it now and then.

I love this idea. I usually get so anxious when I can't think of anything to write, that I think I block any idea that might be out there waiting for me.

I agree with open grove claudia. Write what YOU want in your space, and write when YOU want.

Idle times are as important as productive times - so, take the time you need.

Quiet and alone times are important, they shapes us to be a better person and make us listen to our hearts in a more intimate way.

Take your time...

Chani, when something interests you enough to write about it, it becomes interesting to us as well.

Your mind and heart, your writing talents and your honesty always provide something to think about.

But maybe you need a (hopefully short) vacation from us to center yourself anew without having to consider what anyone thinks of you or what you share here.

Peace.

Delight in your serenity and continue to be who you are.
Thank you for the pictorial blessing. It was soothing and much needed on a dreary wet day here. I liked it very much.

Now seems to be as good a time as any to write about the five precepts?

I've been waiting a good couple of months to hear about that. ;)

It's the beginning of spring and therefore the beginning of summer here in Australia. Which means it is the opposite for you. I often find fall and winter harder to deal with mentally, and we don't get that much of a temperature difference.

But I agree with the others - anything that is interesting to you becomes interesting to us. I want to know more about Thailand and the customs there, more about the things that make you uniquely Chani to the world around you - your clothes, your jewellery, can you share any of that with us? You don't have to be in a photo with them. ;)

But most of all I want to know about those precepts. :) I'm happy to wait till you're ready, though.

Enjoy a bit of peace time, hope to see you back soon..

I've been feeling a little bit of the same lately. Sometimes it comes and others we just have to be patient and wait.

Peace and blessings to you. Thank you for the lovely blessing movie.

I think open grove claudia said it best. And, I also feel as if what you are saying is a very common theme circulating right now. So many of us are going through intensely personal issues that it's hard to sit down at the keyboard with an open mind. You know?

and many blessings to you, too friend.

We'll be here when you do get back.

I haven't even felt like commenting, that's how little I have to say.

I agree with so many here - it is either a very busy time for some people, others are going through intensely personal issues. Take your time, recharge. We will be here...

Thanks to all of you for understanding. :) You'll get more than you want of me in November. That daily thing will be going again.

I'm not upset and nothing is wrong. I just don't have much to say.

I'll see you all soon :)

Peace,

Those photos are extraordinary. I think we all have times when we crave silence.

Thanks PM and niobe. :)

Everything's fine here. I'm just being quiet... been reading a lot today and went for a long walk in the drizzle this morning. I'm coming back to life a bit.

Peace,

I suggest, that since your American culture is about congratulating a lot (you are so wonderful) and giving away multiple awards (you are such a good girl/boy) you invent a new award for the blogs: the best commmenter ( and here I am the first, thank you)
