This morning....

This morning, the power was out when I woke up so I decided to walk to the corner to get some coffee at Starbucks (which ordinarily I wouldn't even consider). The cars were all backed up at the light which was, of course, flashing. A major intersection became a hellish four-way stop which is always a mess. I thought about all those people sitting in their cars, probably going to jobs they hate and then having to deal with such an inconvenience. I thought, "well, I wish them all peace" and the power came back on. I know the two events are not connected .. but it still made me smile.

Wow, Chani. I'm sure you'll always use your new-found superpowers for only the most beneficent purposes. ;)

Yeah, that job thing sucks. It can really take up all your time and your soul.

Perhaps they were connected ;--)
Stranger things have happened, and of course ... we are all one. Such coincidences just may be God's way of remaining A Nonny Mouse! Thanks for sharing for now I'm smiling too.
Hugs and blessings,

Can you do me a favor and send some of that energy this way, please? Like right before my 11 hour flight with the two boys.

I'm just glad you didn't wish them something negative. Oops. And no murder weapon to be found.

Thoughts are very powerful. Knowing that, we should try hard to control them and use them for good, as you did.

I feel confident that living beings are safe in your hands, er, thoughts.

what a beautiful photo you chose.

my husband and i moved to a small town in large part because he couldn't bear to continue to spend an hour and a half each day in the car.

it's soul-sucking.

the quality of life decreases for every minute spent in car. that is why today i played in mud puddles with a certain 3 year old who got VERY wet!

Running on empty

And their blood pressures were skyrocketing (I know...). Then Chani made a wish and all was well.

Peace, Chani.

Don't you love when that happens?

Starbucks is ok in my book. Not my favorite place as I like the more traditional cafe but those are few and far between. It doesn't hurt that I like the lemon and crumb cakes there so I'll wish them a little peace too. :O)

coincidence is still powerful.

Love it, and the idea of commuting to work on a blue lake in a canoe.

Want to try again? Two sick kids and a mom could use a good night's sleep...

connected or not, i'm sure if more people gave off positive vibes like that, things couldn't help but be better. though traffic can make a person crazy.

No coincidence there. We all create our realities. What you think is what is...so start imagining your perfect Thai guy and humming that Fiddler on the Roof tune :)

It's all connected...as Lorenz noted, the butterfly wing-flap in China can change the weather in Texas...

Keep sending goodness beams.

I think the two events were connected. Here's why(or at least another example). The other day, this town was waaayyy to full of people for a Saturday. We have a lot of events here in March so it will be that way for a while. Anyway, I was sitting through a traffic light for the third cycle. I was underneath a freeway overpass. I could see the sky between the top of the SUV in front of me and the bottom of the bridge above me. It was as if I were looking at it on a giant movie screen. I was getting pretty irritated at all the traffic. I had things I needed to get done and not as much time as I would have liked to do them. I caught myself feeling that way and made the decision to be OK with where I was. As soo as I had that thought, the clouds, which had been swirling around, opened up to form a hole in the exact shape of a heart. I wished I had a camera. Oh, I had one. My phone! Before I could reach for it, the shape started to change. For a fleeting moment, it resemble a map of the United States and then a map of Asia. I wondered if anyone else had even noticed or if the display was jus for me. I cannot think that it was a coincidence.
