Wow... who knew?

I didn't know I had it in me.

When I read all the posts last night about Aaron McCreador, I reacted rather strongly. It was from the gut. From the core.

It's an interesting dynamic that takes place when we care about something to that degree, the way I care about that place and what I've found there. We become protective. We don't want to see harm come to its door.

New for me. That's not something I've experienced before. I like it though. I like the way it feels.

Well, yes. We all grow up to be considerably protective of our country and its prestige and honour and dignity {that is to say, if we are brought up properly :P}

I read your other post about this McCreador. Weird person, methinks. Sick, really.

Oh well, it's a good thing you blogged about it!

It's a truly, truly awful story---of a truly awful sounding person.

I don't doubt your visceral reaction.

(Also my word verification is off. I only switch it on briefly or until the spam attacks wind down.)

Hey, I like it when you get riled up! I almost wish the Thai govt. would read your post and get upset - it might bring about some much-needed change.

Exploitation is heinous, regardless of where it takes place. I'm with you in despising such a low-life. I don't think you went overboard at all in your beratement - on the contrary, i think you were far more civil than he deserves.

The thing I've had the most trouble with every time I've been to Thailand is the sex industry. It makes me want to vomit. All of the old, fat German men who were walking around with young Thai girls who looked as though they were barely 13. About half of my travel blog entries from Thailand were ranting on about that. Grrr. It makes me so angry!!

A new feeling? But I bet you had it in you all the time ...

It makes me sad to see people(girls) in Thailand having to do all sorts of things to feed their family - and angry that there are not only people who take advantage of it but also mock them - sick people, indeed.

Btw - I like your new "online home". It's fresh!

I did not see a way to leave a coment on your previoius post. I just wonder why you wanted to call attention to this man and his behavior.

I had never heard of this guy before and I will not watch his videos. I would get ill. There are a large number of men that take advantage of the situation in Thailand and it is very unfortunate. I love Thailand and its people and I would die for my Thai wife and her family. I hope you can realize your dreams. I really enjoy your blog and look forward to reading more.

That truly is despicable. But someone like that will not be influenced by any neagtive reaction - sociopathy is impervious to judgment. Still, I can understand your outrage and need to talk about it.
